From Confidence Lost… to Confidence Worn.

By Jessica Miller, Founder of MyBellyHug

Before I became a mom, I felt strong. In control of my body. Sporty, confident, energized.

I also worked in fashion, surrounded by fabrics, cuts, and the power of a well-designed piece. I believed clothing could change how a woman feels. And for a long time, it did.

But after having my two beautiful kids… everything changed. My lower belly never went back to “normal.” No matter what I tried, workouts, diets, shapewearnothing worked.

And worse, I stopped recognizing the woman in the mirror. Tight clothes made me anxious. Shapewear felt like punishment. I didn’t want to hide my body… I just wanted to feel like me again.

One day, standing in front of my closet, I cried. Not because of the way I looked. But because nothing felt like it was made for this version of me. The real me. The woman balancing motherhood, fatigue, and a new relationship with her body.

That’s when I realized:

Maybe we don’t need to squeeze into confidence. Maybe we just need to feel held.

So I went back to what I knew best: design.

And I created the first MyBellyHug prototype on my sewing machine. A soft, breathable waist wrap that did more than just smooth my belly. It hugged me. Boosted my posture. Encouraged sweat. And most of all, it reminded me that I was still strong. Still here. Still worthy.

Today, over 10,000 women wear MyBellyHug. Not to fix themselves. Not to chase perfection.

But to feel supported, lighter, and confident again, without diets, shapewear, or shame. Because when you feel good in your body, everything shifts.

And you deserve to feel good, at every stage of your journey.
